A few questions with Sonya Thomas
Tiger: How did you get into modeling?
Sonya: I've only been modeling for going on about 2 years now. Truthfully, it wasn't something I ever really saw myself doing, but when people began to tell me 'you would be really good at modeling' and 'have you ever considered modeling?' it got me thinking about it. When I actually tried it out, I loved it!; and I've been doing it ever since.
Tiger: Do you consider yourself beautiful? What do you think is your greatest asset? What makes you unique?
Sonya: For awhile I never really considered myself that beautiful, but over time, I began to see myself for me and truly began to appreciate me. I think my greatest asset would have to be my spirit. I have a fun and outgoing personality that I think really shines through my photos. My ability to adapt and my creativity is what makes me unique.
Tiger: Have you ever used your looks to take advantage of someone?
Sonya: Not intentionally. However, I have been known to get things for free or have a certain advantage over others because of my looks, but it is not something I intentionally use to my advantage; although it is nice to be an advantage from time to time.
Tiger: What are your hobbies?
Sonya: When I'm not modeling, I enjoying reading, hanging out with my friends, horseback riding, hiking and other physical activities.
Tiger: Were you popular in high school?
Sonya: No I wasn't. I was one of the people who was constantly overlooked and never really paid much attention to. But that is definitely not the case anymore. I can definitely say I have done a complete 180 since high school and people definitely notice me now.
Tiger: Do your friends have any funny nicknames for you? If so, tell us about them and the stories behind them.
Sonya: I guess one of my nicknames that my friends call me is '"Sony". I'm not really sure how people started calling me that, but my mom used to call me that when I was little and when I got older it just kind of stuck. Now, my friends like to call me "Sony" because it reminds them of the PlayStation console which I love to play in my spare time.
Tiger: Have you been in any movies, or on any TV shows
Sonya: No, I've never been in any movies or shows, but I have been on my local news station a few times for modeling.
